17 October 2014

Suddenly, Ricky shouts, "Dad!"
As the unseemly behaviour continues, Ricky notices the retreating figure, shouts, “Dad!” and races after him.
He runs after his father,  followed by the other mourners
Mark turns, and hugs Ricky as the crowd of mourners make their way towards them.
“Why did you walk away?” asks Ricky, and Mark replies, “I don’t know how to behave at my own funeral, and neither do your mother and grandmother, it seems!”
She assumed the necklace was for her
Seeing Gemma, he asks, “Where did you get that necklace?” and when she says they found his bag, and she assumed it was for her, he realises that the accident by the pub must have involved his mugger.   Debbie takes Gemma to task for saying the body was Mark’s, and she says she was sure that it was.
Colin tells Mark that this is his best ever joke, and Kath insists, “Come on – we’ve got a wake to attend!”   Siôn asks Meic, “What am I supposed to do now?” and Meic replies, “Take responsibility!”
She tells Mark that she really thought the body was his
At the Deri, the celebration is in full swing;  Gemma tries to persuade Mark that she really thought it was him, and asks why he wants the necklace back.
Gemma receives flak from Mark, Stacey and Kath
“You knew it wasn’t for you – we finished ages ago!” replies Mark.   When she pleads with Kath not to be angry, Stacey growls, “To think we felt sorry for you!”
Kath adds, “You’ve been lying to us – you’re going to regret that,” and throws a drink in Gemma’s face;  then Stacey orders her out of the Deri.
When told that they had got rid of the drugs upstairs in his house, Mark enlightens them that they were, as suspected, tomatoes.
"You told Siôn!"
Britt remarks that it is not every day someone comes back from the dead, and Anita angrily says, “Meic doesn’t have that option – you told Siôn!”   Mark is enjoying the posh food, and says he will have to die more often.
Meic learns that now Siôn knows
Anita admits to Meic that Siôn knew about his cancer when he bid for the Deri, as she told Britt, “In a moment of weakness.”
Siôn informs the police about the mystery body
Siôn has informed the police of the misidentification, and sits at the foot of the Deri stairs, with his head in his hands.
"You're a lot better off with Anita than with her over there!"
Kath advises Meic, “You’re a lot better off with Anita than with her over there!”
"Are you going to give me another black eye?"
Meic approaches Siôn, and he demands, “What do you want?   To give me a black eye to match the other one?”
Meic replies, “Is it true you knew I was dying of cancer when you bid against me?   You’re not to tell anyone else – understand?   I don’t know how you can live with your conscience!”
Meic is up at 04:30 next morning
Next morning, Meic is up at 4:30am, coughing up blood.
Siôn is not in a good humour
Later, at Y Felin, Siôn comes downstairs in his dressing gown, and in a bad mood.   Britt tells him they have to pull together to get the Deri back on its feet.   Sion is depressed;  “I bet they can’t wait to get through the doors!   The couple who betrayed a dying man to get what they wanted!”
Stacey offers them £10,000
Then Stacey pays them a visit, showing them a case containing £10,000, which she tells them is theirs if they will let her buy the Deri;  she leaves the case with them, wanting a decision by 2:00pm.
Britt urges Siôn to take the money
Britt urges Siôn to take the money, but he is determined that he must keep the Deri open for the sake of the village.
Meic is adamant that he does not want a relationship, but Anita tells him that support is what really matters.   Meic will not be shaken from his conviction, “I want to do this alone.”
Mark enquires of his mother how long she will be staying, and when she tells him “a couple of weeks” he does not look pleased.   Stacey comes in, saying she has been doing some business;  she will know later if the deal has gone through, otherwise she will return to London.
Anita notices evidence of Meic's illness
Anita puts a chicken in the oven, and as she is about to put the peelings in the bin, sees a blood-stained tissue there.   Meic is preparing to leave, to stay in a B&B somewhere, as he does not want to impose upon her.   She wants him to stay.
Siôn is seeking guidance on what to do
Siôn sits in Bethania, with the case beside him, looks up and says, “Please talk to me;  do You want Your money back?
He tells Stacey he does not want her money
Stacey comes in, saying “It’s years since I’ve been here.”   Siôn tells her he cannot take the money, as he is going to run the Deri with Britt, so she leaves with the cash.
"How does someone stop hating themself?"
Shortly afterwards, Gemma enters, and asks Siôn, “How does someone stop hating themself?”   When Siôn tells her to ask for forgiveness, she continues, “After what I’ve done?   I’ve told lies, no-one will look at me, I’m so ashamed!”
"Have you thought of praying?"
Siôn advises, “Have you thought of praying? – He understands!   Try it.”
Gemma, alone in Bethania
Gemma sits silently in a pew.
Ricky checks his "selfie"
Ricky is impressed by the Rolls Royce;
The luxurious interior of the Rolls Royce
“Leather seats and all!” he says, and takes a “selfie” in front of the car, as Stacey and Kath prepare to leave for London.   Ricky announces he has five “likes” already for the picture.
Debbie puts on the necklace, not knowing where it is from
Mark gives the necklace to Debbie, telling her it was never meant for Gemma.
Ricky has ambitions to own a luxurious car
As the car leaves, Ricky asks, “If Stacey died, would I get the car?”
Meic does not want Anita to have to take care of him
Anita serves up the roast chicken, as Meic warns her that it will get very difficult over the next few months, and he does not want her to have to take care of him.   She insists that she wants to do so.
Meic admits to being very scared, but agrees that he wants to be with Anita, then she asks him, “Will you marry me?”
He agrees to her proposal of marriage, again
“If you’re sure that’s what you want,” he replies, and she tells him she has never been so sure of anything.
Ricky finds the car has boosted his "likes"
Mark and Ricky has just bought chips from the shop, and Ricky discloses that his “likes” now stand at 22.   Mark goes over to Gemma, sitting on the bench by APD;  “I can’t understand what you did, but I don’t hold a grudge – life’s too short.”
"You must move on, and find new friends"
He urges her to move on, and as he walks away, she whispers, “I’m glad you didn’t die.”
